Dan LeGage is the latest veteran coach to step away for the high school basketball coaching ranks. LeGage coached the Deering Rams of Portland for the past 11 years.

LeGage had an overall record of 145-70, three Western Maine titles and two state titles.

At 40-years-old, LeGage and his wife are expecting their second child this summer and  wants more time with the family.

The list of high school coaches who are stepping away continues to grow...Mike McGee, Tony Hamlin, Tim Bonsant, Dana Maxim, Karen Magnusson.

By the way, Deering HS also has a football position to fill. Jon Gallant resigned two weeks ago.
