ESPN, CBS and Mike 'Doc' Emrick were the big winners at the 39th Annual Sports Emmys Awards Night in New York City. ESPN captured the most Sports Emmys with 10. CBS won eight awards with the AFC Championship Game broadcast (Patriots vs Jags) picking up five emmys. Doc Emrick from NBC Sports won as the best Play-by-Play Emmy for a fourth consecutive year. He is the lead voice for NHL broadcasts. In all, 40 Sports Emmys were handed out in various categories including personalities, writing, production and creative.
