Eagles #1 Into Final Week

Both Husson University basketball teams scored wins over Castleton Saturday afternoon and that means the North Atlantic Conference titles will go through Bangor. The Eagles will be the #1 seed in both men's and women's divisions.

The men's team beat Castleton 85-59 and that puts the Eagles at 13-3 NAC (17-6 overall) with two games to play. Coach Warren Caruso's team has a one game lead over #2 Colby-Sawyer but own the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Trevon Butler scored 20 points Saturday afternoon to lead the Eagles.

On the women's side, coach Kissy Walker's team beat Castleton 76-69 to wrap up the tiebreaker for the #1 seed. The Eagles are 15-1 (17-6 overall) with two games remaining.

Chandler Guerrette had 19 points and Victoria McIntyre had 18 in the Sataurday win.
