Eagles Drop Two To Castleton

Castleton is the hottest team going these days in the North Atlantic Conference. Just ask the Husson Eagles who fell to the Spartans 7-4 and 3-1.

Castleton has won 14 straight game and their lead in the NAC improves to four game over Husson.

GAME 1: Castleton exploded for six runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. The Spartans pounded out 13 hits against Brandon Reilly. He went the distance for the Eagles and took the loss.

GAME 2: This one was a pitching duel between Husson's Dan Whitney and Castleton's Charles Stapleford. The Spartans scored twice in the 5th inning to break a 1-1 tie. The Eagles managed just one hit in the game.

The Eagles drop to 10-6 in NAC, 15-16 overall. Castleton in solid position for first place with a 14-2 NAC mark and 22-9 overall.
