College Roundup...Husson baseball sweeps, softball gets swept and UMaine baseball drops one to Holy Cross.

Coach Jason Harvey's Husson Eagles beat NAC rival Thomas College twice, 4-1 and 7-0. The Eagles got great pitching performances from Ryan Rebar (7 innings, 1 run, 7 hits) and Evan Pelkey (6.1 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits).

The Eagles are now 13-4 in conference play, 18-11 overall.

Coach Kristi Hawkins and her softball team lost for the first time in conference play, getting swept by UMaine Farmington 5-2 and 2-1. The Eagles remain at the top of the standings in the NAC at 9-2, overall Husson is 19-9.

And, UMaine baseball dropped an out-of-conference game to Holy Cross 10-5. The Black Bears are 14-22.

Maine used seven pitchers and they gave up 16 hits to the Crusaders.

The Bears had 11 hits, three each from Alex Calbick and Brian Doran.
