Former Black Bear McAllian New Bangor Christian Coach

Jon McAllian spent the last four years playing division-one basketball for the UMaine Black Bears. Now he will jump right into the coaching ranks, taking over for Kevin Reed as boys varsity hoops coach at Bangor Christian.

Reed is also a former Black Bear player. He is the school's athletic administrator and assistant principal. He told me handing over the coaching job will give him a little more time with his young family.

McAllian played in his high school basketball at Bangor HS. He then went to UMaine and played from 2009-2013, averaging about 9-minutes per game.
