Kevin Youkilis Out 3 Months

Former Red Sox player now Yankee Kevin Youkilis needs back surgery and will be out 10-12 weeks. Youk has played in 28 games for the Yanks this season.

Youkilis visited a specialist in California and came back with the news that he has a herniated disk. Surgery on Thursday. Out of action until late September, at least.

Youk signed a one year deal with NYY. He hit just .218 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI in those 28 games.
