Jon Lester is having no problem pitching for the Cubbies in the National League but the hitting thing just isn't working.

Lester set a MLB record last night as a hitter, after going 0-for-2 and that put Lester at 0-for-59 for his career. That's worse than previous record-holder San Diego pitcher Joey Hamilton who was 0-for-57 at the start of his career. Keep in mind, most of Lester's at bats were scattered pitching for the Red Sox in the AL.

Lester lost a pitching duel with Max Scherzer 2-0. Lester struck out 10 batters in seven innings. Scherzer struck out 13.

For the season, Lester on the hill is doing ok...4-3 with a 3.30 ERA.
