Pedro Martinez and Nomar Garciaparra are first timers on baseball's Hall of Fame ballot, joining other great names of Boston Red Sox past to be considered for Cooperstown.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America released its 2015 ballot and along with Pedro and Nomar, the names Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling will appear for a third time.

Former Sox pitchers Lee Smith and Tom Gordon are also on the ballot.

Other big names up for consideration include Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Mike Piazza, Tim Raines and Randy Johnson.

The voters must have their ballots postmarked to the BBWAA by December 27th. The results are made public on January 6th.
