Opening Night At The Joe

24 hours after opening night at The Garden, the Bruins visit the Red Wings for opening night at The Joe...Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The B's are coming off a 2-1 win over the Flyers.

The Wings are waiting to get a little revenge. Remember, the Bruins knocked Detroit out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round last year.

Front and center for the Wings is the Maine connection of goalie Jimmy Howard and Gustav Nyquist. Two former UM Black Bears who are key elements to Detroit's push to go further into the spring this season.

NOTE:  Perhaps the most talented Red Wing will not be in the lineup tonight. Pavel Datsyuk is nursing a shoulder injury. A young player named  Andrej Nestrasil will take the spot on a line with Nyquist and Darren Helm.
