The Red Sox hit three home runs off Tampa Bay's red-hot pitcher Chris Archer and beat the first place Rays 5-3 Sunday afternoon.

Pablo Sandoval, David Ortiz and Alejandro De Aza home runs accounted for four of the five Sox runs.

Justin Masterson, who was making his first big league appearance since May 12th, pitched the first five innings. He gave up just one run on five hits, no walks and six strikeouts.

Four different relievers held the Rays to just two more runs the rest of the way.

The Sox are 34-43 and 8 games behind the first place Rays.
