While lefty rookie Eduardo Rodriguez had a solid night on the hill. the offense hacked out 16 hits and the Red Sox scored a 7-3 Friday night win in Kansas City.

Rodriguez got his third win, pitching 6.1 innings of one run ball. He gave up six hits, struck out five and walked just one.

Meanwhile, the offense staked him to an early lead, scoring five times in the second inning.

In total, the Sox offense pounded 16 hits - four by Mookie Betts, two each by Pablo Sandoval, Blake Swihart, Mike Napoli and Hanley Ramirez. One of Hanley's hits was his 14th home run.
