Sox Skipper Says There Is No Other Papi
Red Sox manager John Farrell agrees that David Ortiz in the lineup on opening day is looking more and more unlikely.
That means a rotation of players taking over the designated hitter spot. Says Farrell, "we don't have another David Ortiz." That means guys like Ryan Lavarnway, Mike Carp. Mike Napoli and others will likely share DH duties.
By the way, the Sox sent five more players down to their minor league complex. That leaves 52 players still in the big league camp.
