Storm Forces Fitzy Award PPD

For the second straight year, the Fitzpatrick Trophy banquet has been postponed a week because of a snowstorm.

The 49th annual event to honor the top high school football player in the state, postponed for today, will now be next Sunday, January 26th, in Portland.

The three finalists are Zach Maturo (Bonny Eagle HS), Jarrett Flaker (Scarborough HS) and Justin Bryant (Marshwood HS).

NOTE: The postponement means next weekend is a big awards weekend. The Gaziano Award for top lineman in Maine is Saturday in Augusta. The Fitzy Award will now be Sunday in Portland.
