
Bangor Snaps Losing Streak, Beats Gorham
The Bangor basketball teams split a double header versus the Gorham Rams in the Class AA North versus South match-up from the Red Barry Gymnasium on Wednesday night.
The Bangor Rams boy's basketball team snapped a five game losing streak and picked up their third win of the season with a victory over Gorham 55-44 in the second game of a varsity double header.
The Bangor girls' side fell down early to unbeaten Gorham and ultimately lost by a score of 70-39 to Gorham.

The Bangor side started off slow and trailed 9-0 early on the first quarter and trailed 14-8 after the first eight minutes of play. The home team would mount the comeback in the second quarter with a 21 point effort, led by freshman Henry Westrich who logged eight during that time. Bangor never relinquished the lead again and closed the game with a 19 point fourth quarter. Westrich led the way with 13 points in total, with George Payne logging 11, and Logan Alley coming up with 10. Logan Drouin had a team high 13 points and hit three from beyond the arc for Gorham. After the game both teams now have a 3-10 record for the season. Bangor will face Hampden Academy on Friday night, while Gorham travels to Thornton Academy

NOTE: Emily Esposito had 22 points and McKenzie Holmes had 18 as the Gorham girls beat Bangor 70-39. The win improves Gorham to 13-0 and Bangor falls to 6-7. Katie Butler led Bangor with 19 points.
Bangor hockey defeated Edward Little 9-0 at Sawyer Arena.Kodi Legassie scored three goals and two assists. Josh Sherwood added a goal and five assists. The Rams are now 7-4, EL drops to 4-7.
