After a long winter the first baseball games in state were played Friday and the Husson University Eagles swept a double-header from UMaine Farmington.

The Castleton State baseball team had to beat Husson twice to win the NAC title and that's just what the Spartans did, winning 6-1 and 7-5. The Eagles season ends at 26-15.

The Husson Eagles are one win away from a NAC championship and a trip to the NCAA regionals. The Eagles scored a 7-6 over top seed Castleton State Saturday afternoon and that puts them in the championship round- one win away from a title.
