Celts ‘Beat LA’, Thomas Scores 38 [VIDEO]
Thanks to a 113-107 over the LA Lakers last night, Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas is going to have company at the upcoming NBA All Star Game.
Coach Brad Stevens and his staff will coach the Eastern Conference squad because the C's have the second best record in the East at 32-18. Cleveland has the best record but Ty Lue coached the stars last year and league rules say the team with the second best record gets the gig.
Thomas did his thing again - 38 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter.
Al Horford had 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
Lou Williams had 21 for the Lakers.
The two storied franchises entered the game with 3,252 wins each. so far the first time in 21 years, the Celtics have passed LA for most wins in NBA history.
