E-Rod Needs Another Start, Holt Struggles
There were a few updates from some Boston Red Sox players rehabbing in the minor leagues on Thursday evening.
Eduardo Rodriguez will be making at least one more start in Triple-A after Red Sox officials deemed the lefty needed a few more innings from Pawtucket. Rodriguez will get the start for the Paw Sox on Sunday afternoon before the All-Star break.
Brock Holt made his second start at Portland and failed to record a hit in any of his four at bats against New Hampshire. He is slated to play at least one more game for the Sea Dogs before the organization makes a move to promote the utility player or keep him in the minors.
Former Sox lefty Henry Owens after failing to pitch a full inning in his Double-A debut, walking six batters, is scheduled to pitch for Portland on Sunday afternoon.
