As the NFL owners meetings get underway in Phoenix Arizona, talk of the Patriots deflategate has surfaced as Commissioner Roger Goodell stated that the investigation could wrap up in a couple weeks.In an interview with Peter King, Goodell said he believed the investigation by Ted Wells is nearing an end, although he has nor spoken to Wells in a couple weeks. Goodell did indicate that their is no deadline for concluding the investigation, only that wells was told to get all the information before releasing his findings.

Wells is investigating whether the Patriots knowingly under inflated their game balls below the league mandated standards. The issue first became public following the Patriots win over Baltimore in the AFC Championship game. The Patriots organization including Coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have claimed they did nothing to alter the footballs or have information about anyone else doing so.
