Minnesota Twins 14-year veteran Joe Mauer hit is first ever walk-off home run Friday night as the Twins beat the Red Sox 4-3.

It came on a 1-2 pitch from Matt Barnes.

The Sox had tied the game 3-3 in the top of the 9th inning on a Chris Young pinch hit single.

Eduardo Rogriguez pitched the first six innings for Boston, giving up three runs.

The Sox offense did little with Twins starter Phil Hughes who pitched into the 7th inning.

The Sox drop to 15-14.
