Make it three straight wins for the Boston Bruins since getting blown out on opening night by Washington. Last night, a 4-1 victory over Connor McDavid and his Edmonton Oilers.

After McDavid gave his team an early lead, the Bruins responded with three first period goals to take command of the game.

The game tying game was a highlight reel powerplay goal from David Pastrnak. His fourth of the early season.

Then the B;s grabbed the lead on the powerplay when Brad Marchand scored his first of the season.

36-seconds later, newcomer Joakim Nordstrom made it 3-1.

Neither team scored again until the final minute when Patrice Bergeron potted his fifth of the season with the empty net.

Backup goalie Jaroslav Halak stopped 25 of 26 shots to get his second win.
