The New England Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills to run their record to 4-0 but this one was anything but easy. Credit the Pats defense and special teams for this 16-10 victory.

J.C. Jackson had two interceptions while Devin McCourty and Jamie Collins each had one pick. McCourty now has an interception in the first four games, tying a Patriots record held by Mike Haynes.

Patriots special teams blocked a punt that Matthew Slater picked up in the endzone for a touchdown. And, rookie punter Jake Bailey punted nine times for a 48.1 yard average.

The offense sputtered all day. Tom Brady was just 18-for-39, 150 yards, no TDs and one interception. James White was the leading receiver, eight catches for 57 yards.

The running game garnered only 74 yards.

In fact, the Bills out gained the Patriots 375 to 224 yards. That's with starting QB Josh Allen leaving the game with an injury in the second half and Matt Barkley finishing the game.
