David Price doesn't often walk five batters in a game but he did Friday night the exhibition tune-up against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Red Sox won the game 6-3.

Price pitched five innings plus one batter in the sixth. He threw 89 pitches, one earned run, four hits and three strikeouts.

He seems right on pace to pitch in the April 4th season opener vs Cleveland.

Meanwhile, Dustin Pedroia drove in three of the six Boston runs with a two hit night.

The Sox(11-13) have picked up the pace in late spring training, winning four of their last five games.
