Former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop and his Dallas Stars broke the hearts of the Boston Bruins Friday night on a Jason Dickerson goal 1:34 into the overtime period.

Former UMaine captain, now Stars coach Jim Montgomery, leads his team to its first-ever franchise win by a 1-0 score in OT.

The game marked the return in net for Tuukka Rask. He played well, stopping 36 shots.

Bishop stopped all 23 shots he saw.

The Bruins are now playing without six injured defensemen. The d-corp Friday night included Torey Krug, Matt Grzelcyk, Steve Kampher, Jake Zboril, Connor Clifton and Jeremy Lauzon.

And, another injury to deal with - Patrice Bergeron left the game with an upper body injury.

The Bruins do get a point in the standings for sending the game to OT. They are now 10-6-3.
