Hours before the start of the 2017 ALDS match-up with the Houston Astros, the Red Sox have finally announced their playoff roster for the series.


Notable absences from the final edition of the roster were outfielder Chris Young, along with relievers Brandon Workman and Matt Barnes missing from the bullpen.

John Farrell also announced his Game 1 line-up before the game as well that will have Nunez in the DH spot over Hanley Ramirez.

The first game of the ALDS will be this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. from Houston and will feature Chris Sale making his post-season debut versus Justin Verlander.
