Red Sox Walk-Off Again [VIDEO]
Mitch Moreland got an 11th inning, two-out, two-strike pitch and planted it in the leftfield monster seats to give the Red Sox another walk-off win, 3-2 over the Chicago White Sox.
Make it four wins in a row for the Sox, make it 34-20 for the team at Fenway Park and make it 10-3 in extra inning games.
Runs were hard to come by all night as Chicago pitcher Carlos Rondon gave up just two runs in 7.2 innings.
But Sox starter Eduardo Rodriquez and the Boston bullpen were equally good. E-Rod went the first six innings. The pen pitched five shutout innings.
Chris Young singled home the first Sox run. Eduardo Nunez hit a home run for the second run. And the 11th inning blast by Moreland.
He was in the game because Hanley Ramirez left the game with oblique issues.
The Sox(61-49) now lead the Yankees by three full games in the AL East. The Yanks lost again to Cleveland. In fact, every other team in the East lost last night.
