Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has missed three of the past four games with a back injury, is expected to return in time for the Patriots' Week 12 matchup against the Jets, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

The four-time All-Pro selection did not play in the Patriots' Week 7 win against the Bears. He played against the Bills the following week, but was ruled out for the team's last two matchups against the Packers and the Titans.

Gronkowski's return would mark a huge boost for the Patriots offense, which struggled last week against the Titians, scoring just 10 points while quarterback Tom Brady completed just 21-of-41 passes for 254 yards and 0 touchdowns.

Gronkowski has 26 catches for 405 yards and a touchdown through six games this season.
