Rick Porcello pitched a complete game gem while David Ortiz and Mookie Betts powered up as the Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 5-2 Monday night. It pushes the Sox four games up on the O's in the AL East with just 12 games to play.

Porcello needed just 89 pitches to go all nine innings. He gave up the two runs on four hits while striking out seven and walking no one. Porcello is now 21-4 with an ERA of 3.08.

Meanwhile, Ortiz smacked his 35th home run and Mookie Betts clubbed his 31st. Both were two-run shots.

The Sox are a season best 22 games over .500 at 84-62 and the magic number to clich the division is 9. (Every time the Sox win or the O's lose the number reduces by one)
