Sox Send Swihart, Rodriguez To Triple-A

The Red Sox have optioned highly touted catcher Blake Swihart and top lefty prospect Eduardo Rodriguez to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Swihart hit .389 with 4 RBI in 18 at bats. He has been mentioned frequently in trade rumors but the Sox insist he is going nowhere.

Rodriguez had a 1.17 ERA in 7 2/3 innings this spring. He was acquired from Baltimore in that Andrew Miller trade at the deadline last July.

The Red Sox have 49 players still in camp. 36 of the players are on the 40-man rosters.
