Simply put, Masahiro Tanaka pitched better than Chris Sale as the New York Yankees beat the Red Sox 3-0 last night at Fenway. It took only two hours and 21 minutes to play the game.

Tanaka pitched a complete game three-hitter and needed only 97 pitches to do it.

Sale was brilliant again for the Sox but simply got no run support - again. He gave up one unearned run through eight innings until allowing three straight hits and two runs in the 9th inning. Sale finished with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

The Red Sox Sox lack of offense is becomng very concerning as the Chicago Cubs come to town for a weekend series...
