Using a lineup filled with Pawtucket Red Sox September callups, the Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians 7-5 Friday night and tied the franchise record of 105 wins in a season.

The Sox can break the record Saturday night. The game is live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 6:20pm.

After clinching the AL East in New York Thursday night, manager Alex Cora gave most of the starters the night off. The lineup included guys like Sam Travis and Tzu-Wei Lin who hit their first major league home runs. Rafael Devers also homered.

Chris Sale made another start as he continues to build up for the playoffs coming off the disabled list. He lasted 3.1 innings and threw 73 pitches. He gave up two runs, five hits, no walks and struck out seven.

After Sale left the game, Cora used eight different pitches to get the rest of the outs. Craig Kimbrel pitched the 9th inning and picked up his 42nd save.
