Black Bears Win 3rd Place Game In Belfast [VIDEO]
The UMaine hockey team will leave Northern Ireland with a win. At the Friendship Four Tournament in Belfast, the Black Bears beat RPI 4-2 to clain third place in the event.
Brandan Robbins scored a first period goal and Nolan Vesey scored a second period goal. Maine had a 2-1 lead after two periods.
The game winner came just 35 seconds into the third.by Mitch Fossier.
The Engineers scored to make it 3-2 and Maine's Tim Doherty finished things with an empty netter.
Goalie Jeremy Swayman made 18 saves to get the win.
The Black Bears are now 5-7. RPI is 2-0-3.
