The Husson University football team took off for Doylestown, Pennsylvania Friday morning bound for Delaware Valley University and a NCAA Division III playoff game Saturday at noon.

Because the distance between Bangor and Doylestown is more than 500 miles, the Eagles to a bus only to Bangor International Airport where they boarded a charter flight.

All of this is new to the (10-1) Husson football program. The Eagles knocked off Springfield College last Saturday 23-21 to earn a spot in the second round of the NCAAs. Husson is the only New England team left in the 16-team playoff field.

The Delaware Valley Aggies are 11-0 and have been ranked nationally all year.

Kickoff is a noon on today.
