The awards keeping coming in for Gorham's Emily Esposito. The latest is the Maine Gatorade Player of the Year Award. It is the first time a winner has come from Gorham High School.

Over the weekend at the Maine McDonald's All Star Event, Esposito was named Maine's Miss Basketball Award winner as the top senior girls player.

The Gatorade Award selects players from all classes.

Esposito helped lead her Rams to a 21-0 record and second straight state championship. She averaged 19.8 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 4.1 APG. Esposito finished her Gorham career with 1,446 points. She has a 92.9 grade point average.

Esposito is headed for Villanova University in the fall. She will red shirt her first year there.
