The Lewiston Blue Devils and Waterville Purple Panthers are 2016 state champions in high school hockey. Both scored one goal wins in title games.

In Class A, Jeromey Rancourt scored on a rebound to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 win over Scarborough. It is the 21st state title for Lewiston but the first one since 2002.

In Class B, Andrew Roderigue scored in the second overtime to give the Purple Panthers and 3-2 win over Yarmouth. It's the first state championship for Waterville in Class B. The Panthers own 20 Class A titles.
