For Bentley College senior Tyerl McFarland it had to be a bittersweet night. The former Camden Hills Windjammer became the school's all time scoring leader but it also turned out to be his final game at Bentley.

The Falcons lost to Stonehill 78-62 in the first round of the Division II NCAA tournament in Philadelphia. Bentley's season finishes at 21-9.

It was the fourth time Bentley and Stonehill had met this season. The Skyhaawks won the two regular season NE-10 conference games. The Falcons won the semi-final game in the conference tourney. And, now the Skyhawks win the NCAA matchup.

For McFarland, he led the Falcons with 21 points and played all 40 minutes of the game. He ends his career with 2,118 points, surpassing the 26-year-old scoring record held by Bill Holden (2,103).

NOTE: While Bentley has McFarland and five other players from the state of Maine, Stonehills has former Penquis HS and Hampden Academy standout Isaiah Bess on its squad. He scored 10 points and five rebounds in Saturday night's NCAA game.
