Will a NFL team draft UMaine cornerback Kendall James? If not, how many teams will pick up the phone and call James inviting him to their free agent tryout camp after the draft is complete?

Welcome to the world of James and many other football players who just want a chance to prove themselves to a pro team.

NFL teams watched James work out at the combine in Indianapolis back in February. He is 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds and ran a 4.44 40-yard dash. At one point leading up to this draft, ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper had James ranked as the 8th best CB available.
