Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that a Wellington man is in custody following a standoff at his home earlier today. Randall St. Pierre, age 50, was arrested by the State Police tactical team when he came out of his house around 1 p.m. McCausland says three others, who were also in the house, were not being held against their will.

Police went to St. Pierre's house after an alleged shooting early in the morning. St. Pierre allegedly shot at another man along Route 7 in Corinna after the two got into an argument. The vicitm wasn't injured. Following the shooting, McCausland says St. Pierre left in a car and was tracked down at his home on the Beans Corner Road in Wellington.
