
Black Bears Handle Vermont 79-47
The UMaine women's basketball team won big at Vermont last night, 79-47, and now it's showdown time in America East.
Tanesha Sutton had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Blanca Millan scored at least 20 points (22) for the 14th time this season as the Black Bears got their 19th win.
The Bears are 19-9 overall and 12-3 in America East.
UAlbany beat Binghamton last night so Maine and the Bearcats are tied for first place and the regular season finale will decide who is AE champion. The Bears host UAlbany Sunday afternoon at 1pm at the Cross Center in Bangor.
