The Boston Bruins made four roster moves as opening night approaches. The two biggest names sent to AHL Providence are center Ryan Spooner and goalie Nicklas Svedberg.

Two others were sent to the Baby Bruins - Matt Fraser and Matt Lindblad, both forwards.

It means veteran Chad Johnson will be the backup goalie for Tuukka Rask.

-Practice at Waterbury Ice Center, 1:30 p.m. (546 River Road, Waterbury, VT 05676). Practice is open to the public.
-Following practice Johnny Boychuk, Chris Kelly, Brad Marchand, Dennis Seidenberg and Shawn Thornton will sign autographs for 30 minutes.  Players who sign autographs are subject to change.
-Travel to Boston, MA

Wednesday, October 2 (Boston, MA)
-Practice at TD Garden
-Bruins will hold annual Media Day iat TD Garden
-Following the team’s practice Bruins Owner Jeremy Jacobs, Principal Charlie Jacobs, President Cam Neely, General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Head Coach Claude Julien will hold a press conference.

Thursday, October 3 (Boston, MA)
-Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning, TD Garden, 7:00 p.m. ET
