No Kyrie Irving, no problem for the Boston Celtics. They pound the Chicago Bulls 105-89 to collect their 45th win of the season.

Irving sat out the game with a sore knee and may sit out against Minnesota on Thursday night.

The Celts came out with purpose - leading the Bulls 36-19 after one quarter and 55-29 at halftime. The game was pretty much over at that point.

Boston held 30+ point leads several times in the second half before letting bench players get most of the action in the fourth quarter.

Jaylen Brown led in scoring with 21. Al Horford added 13 points and seven rebounds. He passed the 10,000 career point mark.

Rookie Jayson Tatum scored 14.

The Celtics improve to 45-20 and stay just behind Toronto for first place in the Eastern Conference with 17 games left on the schedule.
