A frustrating night at Fenway Park ended for Red Sox manager John Farrell watching from the clubhouse as a 9th inning comeback ended with a Chris Young strikeout with the bases loaded. The Angels beat the Sox 6-3.

Farrell was in the clubhouse because he was ejected from the game for arguing a balk call against Fernando Abad that resulted in a run for the Angels. Farrell argued time was called first.

In the end, not enough key hits cost the Sox. They were 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position. The Sox had just six hits all night.

David Price started and was ok. Six innings, three runs on six hits and one walk. He struck out five.

The Sox fall to 41-33 and in a virtual tie with the Yankees for first place in the AL East.

NOTE: The Red Sox will start Doug Fister today in the final game of the series. He is a 33-year-old veteran who was released from his minor league by the Angels last week. He has 77 wins in 199 career starts.
