The Red Sox lose again late night in Oakland but don't blame the starting pitching this time. Chris Sale gave up one solo home run in six innings of work and the bullpen gave up nothing. Yet, the Sox lost 1-0.

Oakland's Mike Fiers and three relievers stopped the Sox offense for a second straight night. The Sox managed just seven hits.

But the A's had only three.

One was the Matt Chapman home run and it turned out to be the only run of the game.
