High emotion at Boston Garden on Super Bowl Sunday afternoon. The Celtics took down the LA Clippers 107-102 as former Celtics star Paul Pierce was showered with love.

Isiaiah Thomas scored another 28 points. Al Horford had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

The C's have now won seven in a row and sit at 33-18.

For Pierce, it was a return home. He hadn't played in a month but Clippers coach Doc Rivers started him and Pierce got a thunderous ovation.

And then, with the game over, Pierce returned to the lineup for the final seconds and nailed a three pointer at the end.
