The Boston Bruins recalled Danton Heinen from their minor league team in Providence and he paid instant dividends in a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Heinen scored his first two NHL goals and backup goalie Anton Khudobin stopped 36 shots to help the B's get their fourth win of the young season.

Heinen played in college hockey at UDenver for former UMaine captain Jim Montgomery. He was in the lineup because David Krejci is injured. Khudobin play in goal because of the Tuukka Rask concussion. Rask is now expected to play in Saturday's game.

The B's improve to 4-3-1.
