  • Brielle Grindle - 5 kills and 7 digs.
Ellsworth Coach Dyer stated
"We were battling hard in the 1st set and Allie Neleski stepped up and gave us some timely kills when we really needed them. There was one play when we were tied 24-24 and Ava VanDorn ran past the bench and made a diving play to keep the rally alive for her teammates to send it over the net and go on to win the critical 1st set. That play set the tone for the evening and our team got fired up and took care of business."
Ellsworth travels to Oakland Wednesday, October 4th at 6:30 p.m. to play the undefeated Messalonskee Eagles.
Hampden Academy is now 5-5 and will host the Gardiner Tigers on Thursday, October 6th at 5:30 p.m.
