After the bullpen blew a 4-0 lead, J.D. Martinez hit an 8th inning home run and the Red Sox got out of New York with a 5-4 win over the Yankees.

It means the Sox and Yankees are tied for first place with both clubs at 26-11. They've played six times so far and each team has won three. Get ready for 13 more Sox - Yanks games coming between now and the end of the season.

The Sox grabbed a 4-0 lead with Hanley Ramirez driving in three of the runs.

Eduardo Rodriguez was pitching lights out and then a 55 minute rain delay. He returned to pitch just one inning.

In comes Heath Hembree and Joe Kelly in the 7th inning. Hits, walks and wild pitches allowed the Yanks to score four times and a tie game.

Martinez answered with the homer in the 8th and Craig Kimbrel finished the game with a 9th inning save.
