What a Friday night for J.D. Martinez. Two home runs, two doubles and four RBI to lead the Red Sox over the Angels 16-4.

Martinez now has 27 home runs, 71 RBI and has raised his batting average to .310.

He was not alone on the Sox offensive attack.

Rafael Devers (24), Mookie Betts (20) and Mitch Moreland (14) all hit home runs. Devers and Moreland both drove in three runs.

The Sox outhit the Angels 14-3.

Lefty Brian Johnson filled in as starter for the injured David Price. He gave up a three-run homer to Albert Pujols in the first inning and lasted just 2.2 innings. Four other Sox pitchers got the last 19 outs.
