What has happened to the vaunted Red Sox offense? Just five hits in 7.1 innings off Hisashi Iwakuma and it spells another late night loss in Seattle, 3-1.

Boston starter Rick Porcello gave up four hits in eight innings of work, three of them were solo home runs. He struck out eight and walked just one.

The Sox fall three games behind Baltimore in the AL East and, in fact, are out of the wildcard spots at the moment with a 58-48 record.

Note: Sox rookie Andrew Benintendi got his first two MLB hits, finishing 2-for-3 in his debut.
