The NFL is reinstating Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon. It is being called a 'conditional reinstatement'. He can rejoin the Pats on Sunday and will be eligible to play in the regular season.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter explains...

Gordon played in 11 games for the Patriots last season, catching 40 passes, 720 yards and 3 TDs.

But, he was suspended on December 20th for violating the league substance abuse policy. One of several suspensions for the 28-year-old.

Gordon return comes at a time when the Patriots are thin at wide receiver because of injuries.

The Pats play their second preseason game Saturday night in Tennessee.
